About Us

Daniel E. GueuzubeuyukianDaniel E. Gueuzubeuyukian was born in Brazil to Armenian parents who were born in Egypt. Being multi-cultural has been a big part of him since birth. He came to the United States to study at the age of 15, not knowing a word of English, but he spoke three languages: Armenian, Portuguese and Spanish. In 1986, he successfully completed the Pasadena City College EMT course and got hired by an Ambulance Company in Glendale. After only 6 months on the job, he suffered a debilitating herniated disc, and was forced to quit working in an Ambulance. It’s here that his CPR instructor career began. After teaching CPR in many Convalescent Hospitals for the same company, Danny launched Heartstart Enterprises in 1991 along with his cousin and great friend Michael Matossian. Life as a business partner lasted short for Michael, who’s now working on his PhD in Theology (wow, what a difference 21 years makes). Danny continued to grow Heartstart Enterprises, and to this day has trained over 19,000 people in CPR skills. He has a passion for teaching, explaining and using simple and down to earth language. His goal is to make the student retain what they learn. Danny calls Pasadena his home, along with his wife Karineh and 2 beautiful daughters. Above all, Danny credits GOD the almighty for sending him so many thousands of wonderful clients throughout the years. He looks forward to meeting your CPR certification needs.
